Dave Kunkel founded Kunkel Commercial Group in 2007 and has been working in all aspects of commercial real estate for more than 25 years. Since he began in the industry, he has enjoyed working closely with his clients, helping them make informed decisions that best meet their commercial real estate requirements. Dave always remains focused on the needs of his clients in the areas of leasing, tenant representation, development and property management.
Dave learned the ropes of the real estate business by working at Trammell Crow Company in the ever-changing St. Louis market. There, he was responsible for maintaining in excess of six million square feet of office, medical, retail and industrial space. Before focusing his efforts in the Metro-East, he worked for Scott Properties where he leased and managed more than a million square feet of medical, office, retail and industrial space.
As a Metro-East native, Dave was pleased to return to the area and open his own company where his customer-centered approach is focused on sales, leasing and property management services.

Dave holds a Bachelorís degree from SIU-Carbondale. He resides in Shiloh with his wife Gail (who also works at KCG) and his son Travis. When not working he is an avid RVer.
Luke has been involved in real estate since he was 12 years old, selling properties at auction with his family business, Allan Auction Service. In high school, he also worked summers for the Madison County Assessorís office, which led him to become a licensed real estate appraiser in the 1990ís.
During the past 20+ years, he has worked as a licensed broker managing and marketing investment property. His ability to communicate with property owners, clients, city officials, and tenants has prepared him to offer superior customer satisfaction.
Luke resides is Troy with his wife Beth, and his three children. Being a lifelong resident of Madison County, and working in St. Clair County during the past two decades, his knowledge and experience of the local market is an asset to the KCG team. With twenty-two years of commercial real estate and facilities management experience leading office, manufacturing and warehousing environments. Strengths are in CRE sales and leasing, business leadership, project management, operations and customer service. He's regarded as a creative and responsible risk taker. His recent focus has been Commercial Real Estate Brokerage throughout the St. Louis Metro area including Western Illinois. He has experience in both sales and leasing balancing tenant engagement assignments with owner's interest. Prior to transitioning Commercial Brokerage, he managed a corporate portfolio to he managed leased/owned office and industrial distribution centers for; Reed Elsevier, Elsevier, May Department Stores and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Early in his career he managed several properties for industrial clients, giving him in-depth knowledge of their operations and whereby creating many Best Practice solutions. In addition to the St. Louis metropolitan area, his experience spans to Chicago, Minneapolis, Grand Rapids, Atlanta, Peoria and Nashville. James is Certified Facility Manager (CFM) and is licensed in both Illinois and Missouri.
Kelly Hulvey started her career in real estate working in property management and marketing before she became a licensed real estate Broker in 2007. As a longtime resident in Madison County, Kelly puts her inside knowledge of the local market to work to find her clients the property that best fits their needs.
Kelly's outgoing personality and professional attitude with the desire to assist her clients in a timely matter makes her an invaluable member of the KCG team. Alison Jester joined Kunkel Commercial Group as a Property Manager in July 2013. As Property Manager, Alison is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the commercial portfolio, including contract management, property inspections, operational budget preparation, capital improvement recommendations, and tenant improvement project management. As the first point of contact for tenants, Alison maintains an open and active line of communication that creates a valuable working relationship between Landlord and Tenant fostering long-term, stable tenancy on behalf of the clients.
Alison graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelorís Degree in Accounting in 1995. Prior to joining the company, she worked in public accounting for 15 years. Her extensive financial background has proven to be an invaluable asset in her role as property manager.
Alison resides in Freeburg with her husband, Ron, and their four children. In her free time, she loves traveling and being outdoors either camping or gardening.
Gail Kunkel is the office manager and she coordinates all bookkeeping and accounting operations for the company. Her attention to detail and experience is an asset when providing detailed financial reports to 20+ clients.
Gail is a Metro East native and attended Kaskaskia College. She resides in Shiloh with her husband, Dave, and son, Travis.
Terry is a graduate of Webster University in St. Louis with a bachelorís degree in Business Management. He was the President and Owner of Tri-County Petroleum, Inc. for over 20 years. TCPI was a wholesale fuel and lubricants supplier servicing Southern, IL and the St. Louis Metro area. After successfully selling his company in 2010, Terry spent three and a half years with Regions Bank as a Vice President of Commercial Banking. Terry is a licensed Broker with Kunkel Commercial Group, Inc. In July of 2014 Terry teamed up with Dave Kunkel and started Innovative Business Brokerage Group, Inc. Terry is a lifelong resident of the Highland, IL area where he currently lives with his wife and three children. Terry is an avid outdoors person and has enjoyed several North American large game hunts. Local involvement in community organizations include, President Highland-Pierron Fire District, 20 yr volunteer fireman for the Highland-Pierron Fire Dept., Past President of the Pierron Improvement Club, Past President of the Highland Rotary Club, Member St. Joseph Hospital Friends Board, Board member Highland Area Community Foundation, Mentor Highland Entrepreneurship Program.
Linda Miller is a licensed real estate Broker and joined the Kunkel Commercial team in 2007. She has been involved with many aspects of commercial real estate since 2004. She also joined Innovative Business Advisors, (IBA), since inception in 2014 as a Business Broker. IBA is a separate company working in conjunction with Kunkel Commercial Group, Inc. Working for both companies provides Linda an excellent position to offer resources to clients looking to sell their business and business owners seeking to purchase businesses with or without real estate property.
Linda has represented investors, developers, school boards, financial institutions, farmers, churches and corporations in various capacities as a commercial real estate Broker.
Prior to specializing as a Broker in Commercial Real Estate, Linda previously held positions as the Director of Business Development for Quality Testing and Engineering, (a consulting environmental/geotechnical engineering firm) and as Director of Business Development for a land developer in Missouri.
Linda's tenacity, strong communication skills and knowledge of county/municipal/government building and zoning regulations and incentives enables her to effectively assist her clients as buyers, sellers and/or landlords/tenants. She has represented clients in the sale and purchase of hundreds of acres of farmland and investment buildings/properties. Linda is a native of Belleville and resides in Swansea. She served two years as president of the Swansea Chamber of Commerce, is a Rotarian of St. Clair County Rotary (West), an associate member of the Southwestern IL Council of Mayors, and served for six (6) years on the Advisory Council of St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville. Her newest venture is serving as vice-president on the board of directors for the Special Needs Foundation for Community Link, Inc.
Josh Young is Kunkel Commercial Groupís farm specialist. Josh grew up on a 2000 acre grain farm in Macoupin County as a fifth-generation farmer.
After graduating from the University of Illinois with a degree in Agricultural Economics, Josh began working as an appraiser. He is currently an Illinois certified general appraiser specializing in valuation of agricultural and recreational land. As a broker associate, Josh is anxious to use his farm-related background to assist buyers in finding the best farm that fits their personal investment criteria.
Josh resides in Carlinville where he farms with his family. He is an active member of the Macoupin County Farm Bureau and has recently completed the honorary Cultivating Master Farmer program.
Brendan is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a bachelor's degree in political science. He started his professional career by managing political campaigns throughout the Midwest. Brendan became interested in real estate while working to get land development projects approved through municipal governments. Brendan focuses on the sale or lease of land, industrial and commercial properties. He is licensed in both Missouri and Illinois. Brendan focuses on St. Clair and Madison counties and prides himself on his commitment to getting the best results for his clients.
